Clinical Experience

An active Consultant Vascular Surgeon performing all open vascular procedures including Carotid, Subclavian, descending thoracic Aorta, visceral arteries, abdominal Aorta and distal revascularization for occlusive and aneurysmal disease. Possessing extensive experience in vascular and multi-system trauma; accepting severe cases from other medical centres of the Eastern Province, with major experience in complicated vascular access (both temporary and permanent) for dialysis, in both adults and children. Personal results in diabetic feet salvage are benchmarked to international results. The last audit showed amputation rate of 15% and mortality of 12% and a salvage rate without ambulation of 85%. Also, I manage vascular trauma (blunt and penetrating), and perform non-traumatic amputations. My referral base includes patients from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Kuwait.

As a General Surgeon, I perform single port laparascopic procedures (hernia, cholecystectomy and appendectomy), complicated tumor/ cancer surgery (sarcomas, gastric, esophageal and pancreatic cancer), and thyroid surgery, in addition to most abdominal and colo-rectal procedures. Possessing a special interest in trauma, I work as a trauma expert with back up for the rest of the Division of Surgery and the Eastern Province. I perform simple VATS procedures.
